Abstract
Acquisition of information resources in school library – case study of Government Girls Secondary School library, Samaru Malumfashi, Katsina. This study examined the selection and acquisition of information resources in Government Girls Secondary School Library Samaru, Malumfashi Katsina. In this study, brief background information of Government Girls Secondary School Samaru Library was given, its aim and objectives were also given. The study has attempted to determine the process involved in the selection and acquisition of information resources, the selection and acquisition policies as well as the effectiveness of the policies. Survey research method has been employed in order to collect data for this research work and questionnaires were the instrument used for data analyzed using table frequency and percentage. The problem of selection and acquisition were identified, recommendations were made on how to improve the processes involved in the study.
