Abstract
This project is on An application of marketing concepts in the hotel industry in Nigeria. This study researched the application of the marketing concepts in the hotel industry in Nigeria using Kwara Hotel Ltd, Ilorin as a case study. It examined the impact of the marketing concept in the hotel industry. Marketing survey was conducted to elicit opinion on the previously formulated hypothesis. The study discovered that without the concepts of marketing in hotel industry the provers cannot make profit. It was concluded that the application of marketing concepts helps the hospitality industry to achieve their aims and objectives. Hotels resources (both human and material) should also be effectively organized to meet the need of the customer adequately and proper advertisement of the hotel service to the public management should engage in out-doors catering. This would give more publicity to the hotel.
