Abstract
This research work was aimed at investigating cost management practices in the delivery of capital projects in Nigeria. It examined the importance of cost management practices in capital projects delivery in Nigeria. This study began with chapter one, the introduction and focused on the background to the study, statement of research problem, objective of the study, research questions, research hypotheses, significance of the study, scope of the study and definition of terms were all addressed in chapter one. Review of relevant literatures on concept of cost management in construction, need for cost management, types of cost management techniques, and some empirical studies on the subject matter. This chapter deals with the methodology, research area, population of the study, research design, sampling size and procedure, types of data and instrument for data collection, analyses of data collected. This research work is aimed at appraising the cost management practices in the delivery of capital projects in Nigeria using Lagos State as a case study.
