Design and implementation of a computer-based entrance examination administration system

Description

Abstract In the educational sector in today’s world, students have found the conventional means of taking examination stressful. This is as a result of problems such as the paper-based process of taking exams and getting their results associated with conventional means of taking exams. After considering the major problems faced by the school and the students, I decided to write on this topic which says “Computer-based entrance examination administration system”. This implies a system where a computer can be used to test student ability before they can now pick a particular course for study. With this approach, I thought these problems can be reduced or totally eradicated. A system was developed that would take care of the preparation, time limit and the speed of the student for his/her exams using the structured systems analysis and design methodology, using Microsoft visual basic 6.0 as the coding platform and Microsoft Access as the database backend.
