Abstract This research work is aimed at developing an online results checking system. The project analyses the manual method of results processing in the Institute of Computing& ICT, as well as finding or providing solutions to the existing manual system. The current process of result checking is not effective considering the fact that some students don’t get to see their results before it is removed from the notice board. Iterative waterfall methodology will be used to develop the system. The system will allow students to check their results and does not provide room for results related complaints. The application was developed with PHP and MySQL. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing web-based applications.
