Abstract This report presents a computerized record management system for Total petroleum limited, Nigeria. The project was an important area for development because of the efficiency reliability and security of the procedures used to collect data for record keeping. The aim of this project was to develop an interactive computerized record management system with which the administrators can actively insert new records and easily manage existing records. It involved phases: such as the development of a front-end as user interface the development of the database for keeping records, and the development of a web-based administration tool. Information for system study was gathered using tools such as interviews, questionnaires, and the study of relevant literature. Use cases and ERDs were used in the analysis and design of the system. The technologies used in the implementation of the objectives of this study included PHP and the Database Management System employed was MySQL. The outcome of the project was a computerized system capable of receiving, managing and retrieving records. Upon successful testing and system validation, the researchers believe that the system can be administered fairly, effectively and efficiently
