Abstract Mobile technology and security have become a major concern in this 21st century. As used in mobile devices increases, software developers thus cling to making apps with can nicely fit mobile devices as well as large screens. Also, developers work hard to enforce higher-level security in apps. Meanwhile, mobile responsiveness and security is a major issue affecting online based test systems. This paper reviews these challenges and proposes a mobile responsive online based test system with a two-factor authentication mode which uses password and CAPTCHA. The proposed system was developed using PHP and MySql and also uses the Structured System Analysis and Design Methodology.
