Abstract
This research is on Effect of computerization in the banking industry, case study of Zenith Bank Plc. This study was carried out to clearly show the role and importance of computerization in the banking industry and how it has contributed immensely to economic development in terms of globalization. Study for this research work was due to their level of commitment to information technology. This has actually helped them in their operational activities in terms of speed, accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency etc. Also due to continued investment in it has boosted their profit level, liquidity, asset base, customer service delivery and overall performance. Finally, it highlights the various roles computerization played in improving the service delivery and performance of banks, and how banks can introduce more products and services through various channels or opportunities like internet banking, telephone bank, online real time etc. Suggests are offered on ways to improve the advantages derived from the application of computers in banking industries.
