Abstract
Effect of students and lecturers relationship on the learning of secretarial skills in office technology and management department, Federal Polytechnic Nekede. The study examined the effect of students’ and lecturer’s relationship on the learning of secretarial skills in Office Technology& Management Department, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri. To guide the study, four research question were formulated. The collection method adopted was questionnaires which were distributed among the student of the department, 28 (0.238) was retrieved. It was discovered that though the lecturers are aware of the relationship that exist between them, a cordial relationship plays a major role for them as to create a conducive environment for learning and there is the existence of goods rapport that bring quick assimilation of secretarial skill, etc. based on the findings, the following recommendation was made that the lectures should create a cordial relationship between the student and them, which will make the student and them have a comfortable class, the demonstration teaching methods should be used, qualified lecturers should be employed and time for counseling should be created. Suggestions for further research were made.
