Abstract

This research work is on Strategies for enhancing improvisation of instructional materials for effective teaching of basic technology, a case study of Huk poly comprehensive secondary school. This study looks into the strategies for enhancing the improvisation of instructional materials for effective teaching of Basic Technology in Huk poly comprehensive secondary School. The study adopted a survey method and the research instrument employed was a structured questionnaire. Some of the effective strategies revealed by the study includes amongst others that firstly Basic Technology teachers should make effective use of instructional materials in teaching the subject, also that the Basic Technology Teachers should be a master of their subject while on the part of government, it was established that Government should provide sufficient tools and equipment’s for the teaching of the subject. The study was concluded by making recommendations for areas of future research.
