Abstract

This research is on the challenges and prospects of office automation to office management services. It is conducted to examine the challenges and prospects of office automation to office management services, using Lokoja Local Government as case study. The population of the study was the Twenty(20) practicing office managers from Lokoja Local Government, effort were made in getting the necessary information through questionnaires which were analyzed using tables and percentages. The main finding of the study was that automation in the modern day business world is indispensable in the sense that it increases office managers’ productivity and assists an office manager to work efficiently. The study equally revealed that an office manager should be equipped with both manual and automated equipment in other to be busy all the time. Therefore, the recent chapter recommends among others that if the above is done this will go a long way to improve the office manager’s efficiency and promote the image of her organization.
