Abstract

This project looks at The role of manpower training in the effective delivery of judicial services in Kogi state – a case study of Kogi state judiciary, Lokoja. The manpower training forms the basis upon which research questions were formulated on. Study leave with pay, study leave without pay, the focus of this project tends to find out the way and manner at which staffs are sent on in-service training and the improvement of their jobs after the training. As a result, a radical questionnaire was formulated on the above questions to collect vital information which are harnessed together with primary and secondary data available for printed materials as well as authorized textbooks for the purpose of this research work, data collected shows that the manpower training in the effective delivery of judicial services in Kogi state judiciary needs a lot of improvement. In analyzing the barriers to proper manpower training the research found that there is no rigid rule to the game and as such, room for flexibility nomination for training should be allowed. A lot of advantages have been seen while the disadvantages have also been noted giving room for recommendations that were proffered.
