Abstract
This project looks at The role of trade union on effective labour management in a government organization. Therefore in this work, a thorough study on labour as represented by unions is undertaken. Its development, objective, problems, and achievements are also examined. A study of conflicts and disputes, the machinery for their settlement and resolution are also discussed. The machinery for government intervention in such dispute is discussed as well Trade union plays an important role in the growth of government organization, thereby ensuring a smooth process of setting organizational conflict which helps to maintain peace and harmony. It fights for compensation to workers that suffer from injuries while in services.
