    Abstract

    This project is on Perception of cybercrime among Nigerian youths (A study of caritas university). The aim of this study was to examine the perception of cybercrime among Nigerian youths using Caritas University as a study. In this research study, we found out people’s reaction to messages depends mainly on how it is perceived. To achieve the aim o the study, literature was reviewed. Survey research method was used in which questionnaire, the major instrument, was distributed to various respondents in the execution of the study. Samples were selected using the systematic random sampling techniques. Chi-square and simple percentages was used in analyzing data. Internet is used as a channel for the perpetration of criminal spamming activities was the finding drawn. Finally, Cyber laws should be made to govern the country’s cyber space and give the nation’s adequate cyber
    security was the recommendation gotten based on the finding drawn.

    This project is on An evaluation of the effectiveness of radio campaigns on the participation in family planning programmes by Abeokuta residents. This research work is aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of the radio advertisements on family planning programmes amidst residents of Abeokuta metropolis. This study bears in mind the impact of family planning advertisement on the radio audience. The research method used was survey method and questionnaire being the instrument. The findings got from the questionnaire shows that the people of Abeokuta metropolis now know where to go and get the proper family planning method of their choice. And also what family planning is all about. I hereby recommend that the Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria should not relent in their efforts of advocating for family planning programmes.

    Abstract
    This project is on an evaluation of the influence of billboard advertisement on the consumption of Trophy Laser Beer amidst residents of Abeokuta metropolis. The study of the effect of billboard advertisement on the consumption of Trophy Laser Beer among the residents of Abeokuta metropolis was carried out to critically appraise the roles of the outdoor medium on the consumption of the product. The study employed descriptive survey method. 200 copies of questionnaires were distributed to the selected respondents, with only 187 copies returned and analyzed in this study. The findings discovered that billboard advertising creates awareness of products and services, influence consumers of product and services in their choice of product. Billboard advertising also contribute to nation’s environmental beautification and economic growth. This study also indicated that billboard advertising messages carries and reinforces electronic and print media messages.

    ABSTRACT
    This research work is on An evaluation of the radio listenership and usage pattern amidst market women in Omida and Panseke Abeokuta. Without equivocation, this study evaluated the radio usage and listenership pattern amidst market women of Omida and Panseke market. The aim of the study was to critically investigate the manner in which market women in both markets use and is exposed to radio. This study was rooted in the theoretical foundation of dissonance, media system dependency and uses & gratification theories. The study also examined the various past researches that have been carried out which are associated with the study. The sample size of the study was 171 respondents, selected through purposive sampling technique. The study employed survey research design, in which questionnaires were administered to the sample population of the study. Out of the 171 questionnaires administered, only 170 were returned and analyzed in the study. The outcome of the study revealed that most of the market women in Panseke and Omida listen to radio regularly and they indeed prefer to listen or use the radio when at shop. The analysis also showed that they listen to radio because it relays the programme belts that give you gratification. More so, it was discovered that market women prefer radio to other media of mass communication and this is simply not unconnected to the fact that the medium is cheap, accessible, portable and can be listened to even while attending to customers in the market.

    This research work is on An evaluation of the effectiveness of public relations strategies employed during the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic conversion crises. Without equivocation, this study evaluated the PR strategies deployed by staffs of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic during the conversion crises. The aim of the study was to critically investigate the strategies deployed and evaluate the effectiveness of each of those strategies.. This study was rooted in the theoretical foundation of image restoration, situational crises communication and image restoration theories. The study also examined the various past researches that have been carried out which are associated with the study.
    The sample size of the study was 200 respondents, selected through purposive sampling technique. The study employed survey research design, in which questionnaires were administered to the sample population of the study. Out of the 200 questionnaires administered, only 188 were returned and analyzed in the study. The outcome of the study revealed that the public relations crisis management strategies employed by the workers of MAPOLY during the conversion crises were effective and that the management and members of staffs of the Polytechnic has a role to play in sustaining the PR strategies in a bid to avert future crises within the institution.

    Abstract

    This project is on An evaluation of the effect of new media on the production and sale of conventional newspapers in Nigeria, This study is conducted to evaluate the effect of new media technologies on the production and sales of conventional newspapers in Nigeria. The study employed Nigerian Tribune as its population, with a sample population of 187 respondents who are workers of the print medium. The study is survey oriented and by that virtue, questionnaire as a survey instrument was used to collect data from the respective respondents. The study concludes that indeed, without mincing words, the emergence of new media technologies have influenced the production and sales of conventional newspapers. While it has eased the production processes of conventional papers, it has also drastically reduced the readership of the papers as many now rely on new media platforms to access news worthy contents. The study therefore recommends that managers of conventional newspapers subscribe to online platforms to meet up with the evolving world
