Design and implementation of a lecturer location tracking system

Description

Abstract This project focuses on solving problems such as eliminating random searching of offices and faculty blocks for lecturers by students using a location tracking and SMS system. The present system is tedious, slow and unreliable due to the manual method of randomly going from office to office or from one building to another to search for a lecturer when it is his/her time for lectures. The location tracking system was developed to provide students and other users with timely, accurate, and lecturer location information. The developed application was designed using PHP and MySQL and the test results show that the application works as expected.
