Description
Abstract This project was centered on developing a fingerprint attendance management system. The current manual process of students’ attendance documentation and verification has been marred with impersonation, forgery and irregularities. The new biometric system was developed to eliminate impersonation and enhance the attendance verification process. The new system utilizes a portable fingerprint scanner as the input to acquire fingerprint images and a personal computer as the mobile terminal for the processing of the images and recording of attendance. The research methodology used in this project research is the SSADM (Structured System Analysis and Design Method). The application was developed with Visual basic.NET and Digital Personal Fingerprint SDK. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing desktop-based applications
