Abstract

Effectiveness of written communication on organizational performance – study of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua. This study examined the Role of Effective Written Communication on Organizational Performance, a study of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic. The study four objectives and formulated four research questions. The survey research method was adopted for the study and the study relied much on secondary and primary data. The population of this research work was drawn from the academic and non-academic staff of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua. The population is made up of 341 non-academic and 271 academic staff. The sample size of 200 was drawn using the random sampling technique. Findings showed that there is a significant relationship between effective written communication and employees’ performance in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, and the researcher recommended that there is a need for every organization to endeavor and make effective written communication an essential and integral part of its management strategies and map out strategic ways of storing information, and it will help to minimize organizational conflict, less misunderstanding and enhance information management.
