Abstract
This project studies the Role of marketing department in a manufacturing business, a case study of selected bakery in Bida town. The role of the marketing department in any institution is quite imperative and its effect is far-reaching as it does have the ability to push the organization towards its goals. As a result, this study critically examines the roles of the marketing department in the manufacturing department. The study is a descriptive study that adopted the use of questionnaires and interviews to obtain data from the respondents. A total of 20 questionnaires were administered. The study found that the marketing department contributes significantly to the growth and performance of the manufacturing industry and also enhances customer satisfaction. The study also revealed that strategies were adopted by the enterprise in the promotion of the business. In addition, the study found that challenges faced by the marketing department of the organization reflect in the activities of the entire organization. It is against the backdrop that the study recommends that efforts should be directed towards aggressive marketing. Also, the cost of products should not be too high and adequate facilities should be provided to the marketing department.
