Abstract

Statistical analysis on the trend of domestic investment in Nigeria. This study seeks to examine the trend pattern of domestic investment in Nigeria. The data used in this study focused only on total domestic investment in Nigeria within the period of 2000 and 2020. Time series analysis was used to evaluate the data obtained for the study. The result of the analysis indicated that there is a positive trend growth of the domestic investment in the agricultural sector of Nigeria. with the positive growth in investment, the study recommended that the Nigerian government should continually invest in the agricultural sector because it serves as a way of eradicating poverty among rural people/farmers.
