Abstract
This project examines the benefit of entrepreneurship education as a field of study in Nigerian tertiary institutions – a study of federal polytechnic Bida. The extent to which the function of entrepreneurship education was elevated through a survey conducted in the Federal Polytechnic Bida, among two hundred (200) questionnaires and the simple percentage was adopted to the analysis of hypothesis. For instance, entrepreneurship education will be used to provide employment and reduce poverty in Nigeria. The researcher recommends that entrepreneurship education skill should be learned by both undergraduate and both graduate. This research, therefore, argues that entrepreneurship education will equip unemployed school graduate with the skill which to be self-reliant. Also, the paper recommends that programme at all levels of education should be made relevant to provide school graduates with the needed entrepreneurship skills. It also recommends that the Nigerian government should give adequate attention to full-blown entrepreneurial education in Nigeria.
