Abstract
This project looks at The impact of information and communication technology on job performance of secretaries working or willing to work in civil service of Abia. Five outlines were developed for the study of this work. Chapter one discussed the background, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, research question, significance of the study. Chapter two reviewed the related literature base on the outline developed for the study. Chapter three discussed the research methodology research design adopted was survey method, population of the study consist of fifty (50) secretaries and administrative workers in the ministries in Umuahia, the population was made up of 30 secretaries and 20 administrators, instruments used for data collection was questionnaire, data was analyzed using mean, mean score of 3.00 and above was considered accepted while mean score below 3.00 were considered not accepted. Chapter four discussed the data presentation and analysis, the result from the study shows that the respondents agreed with the determination of information and communication technology skills required of graduate secretaries. Chapter five consists of statement of the problem, summary of findings, conclusion and recommendation, implication of the results and suggestion for further studies. Conclusions were made based on the findings while recommendations were made based on the conclusions.
