Abstract

This study is to examine the impact of motivation on employee job performance in an organization, using UBA Plc, Lokoja, Kogi State as a case study. The descriptive survey design was used for the study because it focuses on people, the vital facts of people and their beliefs, options attitudes motivations and behavior. Most organizations achieve remarkable success in their operations not only because they operate in good environments, or because they are capable of competing favorably with other organizations but because the management of such organizations provides them with the incentives that make their work worth enjoying. The result of the study confirmed that motivation plays a vital role in the productivity of employee as it helps to improve their attitude towards the work, and also gives job satisfaction
