Abstract
A statistical analysis of vehicular movement within Federal Polytechnic Nekede for a period of 30 days. This research work focuses on the vehicular movement within Federal Polytechnic Nekede for a period of 30 days. The aim of the study is to determine whether the number of vehicular movements into Federal Polytechnic Nekede for the period of 30 days follows a Poisson distribution. The data used in this study were obtained from a primary source. The data collected were analysed using Chi-square tests. The results obtained using Chi-square Goodness of fit test revealed that the number of vehicular movements into Federal Polytechnic Nekede for the period of 30 days follow a Poisson distribution and on average, the number of vehicular movements within Federal Polytechnic Nekede for the period of 30 days is 4.53. The results further showed that the number of vehicular movement into Federal Polytechnic Nekede for the period of 30 days does not depend on the week but differ significantly..
