This research work is on An evaluation of the effectiveness of public relations strategies employed during the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic conversion crises. Without equivocation, this study evaluated the PR strategies deployed by staffs of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic during the conversion crises. The aim of the study was to critically investigate the strategies deployed and evaluate the effectiveness of each of those strategies.. This study was rooted in the theoretical foundation of image restoration, situational crises communication and image restoration theories. The study also examined the various past researches that have been carried out which are associated with the study.
The sample size of the study was 200 respondents, selected through purposive sampling technique. The study employed survey research design, in which questionnaires were administered to the sample population of the study. Out of the 200 questionnaires administered, only 188 were returned and analyzed in the study. The outcome of the study revealed that the public relations crisis management strategies employed by the workers of MAPOLY during the conversion crises were effective and that the management and members of staffs of the Polytechnic has a role to play in sustaining the PR strategies in a bid to avert future crises within the institution.
