Abstract
This project is focused on An investigation into the role of GSM operation in developing direct market in Nigeria. GSM communication is vital toll in the Nigeria economy as most sector depends on it for the effective communication and development of direct marketing in the nation GSM have a direct relationship with direct marketing as most people use their phone for creating awareness about their product the study was conducted to investigate the role of GSM in developing country. The study also expatiates more on the importance of GSM. The study also looks at the contribution of GSM to the overall economic development of the nation. The aim of marketing tool and development of direct marketing in the course of the study both primary and secondary data were used in gathering data, but secondary data was used most GSM is faced with challenges and the most pressing one is high tariff charges. Recommendation was made based on the findings his tariff charge should be reduced to enable the consumer to enjoy uninterrupted services. Basic amenities like good road network security should be provided to enhance the performance of GSM operators in Nigeria.
