This project focuses on Appraisal of public relations strategies for development of media houses Using Rave FM, Osogbo as Focus Of The Study. This study was guided by the following objectives the purpose of this study is to make a critical analysis of the impact of public relations strategies on a media house, another fundamental objective of this topic is to assist the media house and corporate tidies in shaping their organization, which will go a long way in making the organization be more interested in the use of public relations, also, to drive into how public relations personnel has been able to effect media house positively, it is also to show case the benefit of the media organization to relate well within public by haison an external public and the study also make pertinent to escalate the effected of public relations in media and every organization. The study made use of survey research method. The theories used for this study are Communication theory and Excellence theory. The questionnaire is divided into two sections. Section A contained questions aimed at knowing the respondents’ bio-data while Section B contained research questions aimed at achieving the research objective. To know this, 150 copies of questionnaires were administered. After successful completion of the research work, it was discovered that public relations are not just the sole responsibility of the public relations department but the general duty of the management as a whole. It is thus recommended that the management of Rave FM, Osogbo should ensure that they support the public relations department in order to have an effective mutual understanding between the organization and its publics.
