Description

Abstract

This research was undertaken to ascertain the budgeting control in private organization as they exist in Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Owerri Branch, Imo State. It is with the determination and highlighting of the existing materials which were relevance, effective and operational modes of the budgeting control system. Also, delay in execution of capital projects can be traced to low power rate, therefore it is the researcher citation that corporation should adopt the zero-based budgeting approach which provides a credible rationale for re-allocating resources by focusing on the systemic review and justification of the findings and performance levels of current activities. This is only recommended for the performance level of current activities. This is mainly recommended for corporation alone for some other organizations. This will bring commendable changes since there will be no expenditure without justifications. If possible the researcher recommends that the corporation shall be commercialized. This becomes necessary because of the Nigeria factor where there is no zeal in government work but when it is commercialized and liaise-fare will give way to profit maximization.
