Description
Abstract
This project looks at the Causes of students failure in shorthand in tertiary institution, a case study of Kogi state polytechnic, Lokoja. The researchers adopted survey research design. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. 100 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents and 96 were retrieved. Based on the analysis, it was discovered that lack of equipment contributes to the poor performance of the students in shorthand. It was recommended amongst others that the school authority should in the first place build a better concentration on shorthand venues because where shorthand classes are located in a noisy area, it will not be conducive for students concentration and assimilation.
