Abstract
This project is focused on Challenges of ICT applications in law libraries. This research work investigated the challenges of the application of ICT in Law Libraries with a particular reference to Imo State University Law Library Owerri. This study describes the concept of ICT and their roles in library development in the country. In this study, survey research design was used, and a sample size of 54 was drawn from a total population of 304 using random sampling technique. Questionnaires and oral interview were used to obtain data from the respondents. The data collected were analyzed using frequency tables and percentages. The findings show that ICTs the available and the available ones are computers, scanner, printer, photocopies, and internet. it also showed that the challenges of ICT application are poor funding, erratic power supply, incessant breakdown of equipment, restriction of access, poor administration and lack of skills the study further recommended better funding of the library, provision of alternative/back-up power supply, repair of ICT gadgets, training of staff and student on ICT usage and also easy access to the equipment as possible lasting solutions to the identified challenges.
