Computer assisted multi-choice examination administration and processing system
Abstract With the thoughtful application of emerging technologies and in a bid to improve on the effort towards the conduction of the multiple-choice examination administration processing, this project is designed to automate all multiple-choice examinations in the department of computer science, of any university with the aim of cushioning the effects of the existing manual, system but most importantly, to encourage and implement a faster and better examination administration and processing service delivery in the department. The objective of this paper is to provide a report on the implementation of a computer-assisted web-based examination system. The implemented system was modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams such as Use Case diagram and Activity diagrams. The system was developed using PHP Scripting Language as front end, MYSQL Server as database. With the online examination system, the process of conducting examinations and processing results is made ease. More so, there is a reasonable level of security and integrity on the conduct of the examination. It is important to note that the logic employed in the work can be treated in a general sense. Invariably, it could be applied or implemented in any other structured examination administration processing system.
