Abstract
This project studies Cultural influence of foreign programs on youths, a case study of Federal Polytechnic Nekede and Channel O. it is specifically to determine whether foreign programs have influenced Federal Polytechnic Nekede students. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire. A total sample size of 220 was used and the simple random sampling techniques were revealed that television has become a part of our daily lives and has transferred the traditional functions of the mass media which is to inform, educate and entertain cultural imperialism is“the sum of the processes by a society is brought into the modern world system”. It was recommended that media managers and practitioners as gate-keepers must be made to realize that they have a role to play in putting an end to the genocide to Nigerian cultural values.
