Design and development of an automated student per semester result processing for a tertiary institution

Abstract This project is about the design and implementation of an automated student per semester result processing for a tertiary institution. Over the years result calculations are done with the use of pen, pencil, ruler, and notebook (manual) which is stressful and requires more human effort and time since the work needed to be done is voluminous. A computerized system is poised to effect an accurate and effective grading system that will not only save time, fatigue and produce appropriate result required, but is timely with the existence of a computer based grading or calculating system. Students are sure to collecting the result at the appropriate time without undue time wastage and the management are sure of providing this result without any mistake. The new system was developed using PHP and MySQL.
