Design and implementation of a cinema booking system

Description

Abstract This project is aimed at developing an online cinema booking/ticket reservation system for a Cinema Hall. The booking/ticket reservation System is an Internet based application that can be accessed online and can be accessed by anyone who has an internet connection. This application will automate the reservation of tickets. This online cinema booking/ticket reservation system provides a website for a cinema hall where any user on the internet can access it. This cinema hall is a multiplex with 3 screens and each screen has three different types of classes/seats. Only 50% of seats can be reserved online. A  user is required to login to the system and needs a credit card for booking the tickets. Tickets can be collected at the counter. The new system was developed with PHP and MySQL Server. The language was chosen because of its suitability for online applications
