Design and implementation of a simplified arithmetic game for elementary school

Abstract Mathematics is one of the key subjects that is required in all works of life. It is an indispensable subject of study. It plays an important role in forming the basis of all other sciences. Despite the importance of this subject, not all persons you come across is good at Mathematics. Most people, especially students, who find it difficult to solve Mathematical problems, suffer this often because of lack of strong foundation given to them by teachers of the subject during their early stages in life. Most of the time, the available textbooks do not contain tangible information with regards to the subject which ends up making the students lazy in their approach towards the subject. All these problems revolving around the subject led the researcher to develop a simplified game that will aid in learning arithmetic. The programming language used for the designing the application is Microsoft visual basic. This language was used because of its wealth of features for developing windows based application.
