Design and implementation of a web-based visitor management system

Description

Abstract The project aimed at designing and implementing a web-based visitor management system for an organization (Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company Ltd). Many large organizations with numerous visitors who come in and out of the organization to meet up with various appointments are always faced with the problem of adequately capturing visitors and booking appointment dates with them. This system solves the problem of appointments and it effectively captures guest information for future purposes in the organization. The programing language used in the implementation of this system is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor), while the backend database adopted was MYSQL. PHP was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing web-based applications.
