Development of an online pension and gratuity scheme

Abstract Pension and gratuity scheme are the plans, procedures and legal process of securing and setting aside funds to meet the social obligation of employees after years of active service. The current processes of management and payment of these funds are not really convenient for some pensioners especially the elderly and sick ones. These issues and more such as delays in payment, ghost pensioners and under/overpayment are what this research aims to proffer solutions to. The new system developed would enhance driver pension management process. The research methodology used in this project research is the SSADM (Structured System Analysis and Design Method). The application was developed with PHP and MySQL. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing web-based applications.
