Abstract
This research is on Effective administration and organization in secondary schools in Nigeria. The study evaluated the problems associated with the organization of sports (Inter-House) in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. In the beginning, the researcher or investigator made the problems known such as lack of equipment and facilities, lack of personnel, provision of incentives to improve student’s performance and interest, provision of funds as some of the problems involved. The origin of the 1ocal government, occupation of citizens and their culture and ethics were made mention of in chapter one. Related literature was also reviewed on particular topics involved in the organization of physical education programmes. From these literatures, the researcher have collected and made contact with several books, journals notes and textbooks as well as lecture notes. The researcher also consulted the researches of other colleagues on the field and had interviews as well. These reviewed literature defined the meaning of organization and sports there was also a review of secondary schools sports, sports in general in this country Nigeria, time allotment, equipment and facilities, finance and budgeting in sports. All these were investigate and evaluated. The researcher went further to the level of environment prove facts on the method and procedure involved in the research work, research designs, population, sampling procedure, characteristics of sample, instruments, method of data analysis as well as method of administering the questionnaire and the procedure of the result and findings of the data collected. Finally, data collected through research questionnaire, interview, and discussion were finally analyzed with the use of chi-square method and percentages.
