Abstract
The study seeks to investigate the impact of accounting software on financial statement accuracy, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The research problem is that there is a lack of research on the impact of accounting software on these aspects of financial reporting. The aims and objectives of the study are to determine the impact of accounting software on the accuracy and reliability of financial statements, to assess the efficiency of QuickBooks in automating financial statement preparation and reducing manual data entry, to evaluate Xero’s customization and reporting capabilities, and to examine the user experience and satisfaction levels of businesses using Sage 50. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. The quantitative data is collected through a survey of businesses that use accounting software. The data is analyzed using statistical techniques. The findings of the study are that accounting software has a significant impact on the accuracy and reliability of financial statements, that QuickBooks is an efficient tool for automating financial statement preparation and reducing manual data entry, that Xero”s customization and reporting capabilities do significantly contribute to meeting specific financial reporting needs, and that the user experience and satisfaction levels of businesses using Sage 50 are significantly influenced by ease of use and user support. The study concludes that accounting software is a valuable tool for businesses that can improve the accuracy and reliability of their financial statements, automate financial statement preparation and reduce manual data entry, meet specific financial reporting needs, and improve the user experience and satisfaction of users.
