Abstract
This project looks at the Impact of effective filing system in private organizations in Ekiti state.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is any advantage derived from an effective filing system, to examine the problem facing the filing clerk and to study the types of classification or methods being used in the filing system. The population of the study consists of filing Clark in ABUAD, where 30 were selected and sampled for the study. The researcher made use of questionnaires as an instrument for gathering data and simple percentage frequency was used to analyze the data gathered. Findings revealed that the proper filing system is easy to operate, understand, cheap and easy to expand and accessible to accelerate insertion or retrieval of documents, which also make it safe against any destruction economically and suitable for the operation and requirements of the institution. Based on the findings, this study concluded that the development of a good and effective filing system has a positive effect on the working condition of the workers due to the fact that it makes their work easy to carry out any time of the working hours and the filing system being used is in line with seven principles of a good filing system, which are simplicity, economical, compactness, and safety etc. Therefore, the study recommended that there is a need for re-orientation and re-training of the staff as a new system being introduced to filing systems every day. This would go a long way in adding more to the experience and the knowledge of the staff. Filing staff should be motivated in various ways so that they could be more alive to their duties.
