Abstract
This study is on Impact of stress management on academic performance among undergraduate biology students of FCE Kano. This research project was essentially designed with the conscious intention to identify the stress management among undergraduate students and their impacts on academic performance in Biology Department, Federal College of Education, Kano with a view to finding solution to the problems. The sample of study consisted of 80 students selected randomly from the population of both level 300 and level 400 undergraduate students in the said department. Primary data for the study were obtained through, set of questionnaires administered to the subject of the study. Analytical methods such as percentage and descriptive tabulation were used in the study to adequately accommodate responses to the questionnaire. In the findings, the researcher observed that, inadequate sponsorship or financial support, lack of good and conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning, inefficiency on the part of management in relation to records keeping, processing of results and the general assessment of students, inadequate laboratory facilities. Overcrowding in both classrooms and hostels, work overload were stressful factors faced by students which cause mass failure and poor academic performance.
