The Topic of the research work is Impact of National Poverty Eradication Programmes on Nigeria, A case study of Katsina Local government. The research work has analyzed what is poverty alleviation programme and also found out how poverty eradication programmes serve as a tool for employment creation, human resources development and sustainable economic growth with references to Katsina Local Government Area. In the course of this research work, the area covered includes successive government policy thrusts toward poverty alleviation. For instance National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP), National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Family Support Programme (FSP), and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) among others.
