Abstract
The investigation of no-fine concrete containing local clay pot waste powder as partial replacement of cement. This study aimed to evaluation Performance of no-fine concrete containing local clay pot waste powder as partial replacement of cement. Twenty-seven (27) cubes of 150 ×150 ×150mm were cast, cured and crushed at 3, 7and 28days respectively, and also cylinder size of 95 ×200mm were cast, cured and crushed at 3, 7and 28days respectively, The compressive strength at 28days was 13.14N/MM2 for no-fine concrete (control), 25.92N/MM2for 10% replacement, 11.76N/mm2 for 20% replacement. the split tensile strength at 28days were 1.89N/MM2 for no-fine concrete (control), 1.33N/MM2 for 10% replacement and 1.87N/MM2 for 20% replacement. From the above discussions, it can be concluded that the addition of local clay pot waste powder in mix up to 10% increases the compressive strength of no-fine concrete. It is therefore recommended that 10% of local clay pot waste powder as partial replacement of cement is suitable for the production of no-fine concrete.
