Abstract
This project looks at Statistical analysis of unemployment rate among age groups and geographical locations in Nigeria. This study was designed to analyze the rate of unemployment among age groups and geographical locations in Nigeria. In the process of carrying out this research work, three methods of analysis were applied. Chi-square and ANOVA (analysis of variance) were used for the data analysis. While Turkey test is used to test for difference between pairs of the mean. The population for the research work is made up of unemployed people in geographical locations and their age groups. According to the analysis of the data collected from National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Owerri Imo state, many results from the research were shown which confirmed the insignificant difference in the rate of unemployment among age groups and geographical locations in Nigeria and also reveals that people employed yearly depend on age group and their geographical locations. The research made some recommendation and possible suggestion to reduce the rate of unemployment.
