Abstract
This research work is on The availability and utilization of modern information resources in teaching and learning in selected private secondary schools in Owerri metropolis. This study investigates the availability and utilization of modern information in teaching and learning in selected private secondary schools in Owerri Metropolis. The total population of this study is 32 which comprises of the selected. Questionnaire was the major instrument used for data collection also the researcher dried do analysis data by using frequency counts and percentages. Based on the observation that the libraries under study use modern information resources for reorganization and identification of a place, person or object. Also, the researcher observed the types of modern information resources used in teaching and learning. The two schools, which include, computer, microphone ink board, models, photography/pictures, audio tapes/recorder, radio, study kits, specimens, and projectors. The extent to which they are made available for use in teaching& learning they are made available for use in teaching and learning in Holy Rosary and Domino Schools.
