ABSTRACT
This project studies The use of instructional materials in teaching of social studies in kastina LGA. Survey design was used for the study. Three research questions were used for the study. A sample of fifty (50) respondents which were selected through random sampling technique was used. A questionnaire consisting of 50 copies was used for the data collection. Data analysis was done using frequency count and percentages to explain the demographic data of the respondents were applied to answer research questions. The result of this findings includes the following: that, majority of the teacher believed that the outline questions have in one ways affect the performance of pupils offering social studies as a school subject. Recommendations based on the findings were made, which include; that Teacher should be more dedicated to their legitimistic duties and they should endeavor to give the pupils assignment from time to time and ensure to make use of such assignment.
