This project focuses on Youth association and community development in Nigeria: the Isiala Ngwa south local government area’s experience, Abia state. The major objectives were to evaluate the role of youth associations in the community development and to determine if the youth associations participated in developing their communities as well as to find out the possible solutions during community development. The data for the study were generated using the questionnaire. The findings revealed the youth associations are faced with a lot of challenges that affect their participation and performance such as lack of finance, limited material benefit, and inadequate of infrastructure, which hampered effective community development. The study recommended that there should be more education and enlightenment and that they should be made to understand the benefit of community development. Also that government should help the youth overcome many challenges.
