Abstract
This engineering project focuses on A project report on the design and construction of adjustable drawing table and stool. Engineering drawing as a language of engineers, technicians and technologist involves the use of drawing sets like erasers, set squares protractors, tee-square, divider, French curves etc. in other to produce an accurate drawing quickly and conveniently, there is need for drawing tables and stools. Tables are constructed so that it remains flat throughout its surface and has a straight edge each ends. This project is mainly concerned about the designs and construction of a simple drawing table and a stool suitable for use in citadel of higher learning. This construction is made from assemble of metallic frame or structure and a flat rectangular wooden top. This project report only talked about the design and construction of a simple drawing table and stool. However, new developments in the designs of drawing table including the adjustment of the top board to an inclination angle that suits the users comfort and a stool for proper sitting for accurate drawing to be enhanced. Other included fittings are of a parallel motion mechanism which keeps the tee-square, attached to the board and parallel to the top boards. We may also have those with flat aluminum tops. The top boards of modern drawing tables vary in accordance to the size of paper they are used with. The one discussed in this report was designed to accommodate a full sized cardboard.
