Abstract
This research is looks at Accountability and Corruption in Nigeria Local Government Council and the citizen at large with a Case study of Bonny local government area of Rivers state. In chapter one, the background of the study, objectives of the study, statement of the problem, significance of the study, scope of the study, limitation of the study and definition of terms was discussed in details. In chapter Two, the research dealt with Literature review on accountability and Corruption in Nigeria Local Government Council. Chapter three dealt with the presentation of research methods used in this study, research design, method of data collection, sample size, sampling techniques and data analysis techniques. Chapter four treated presentation and analysis of data under which only question relating to the research question were used in the study calculation and was based on the responses from the questionnaire distributed. Finally, in chapter five, the researcher made her summary and recommendations to the establishment of the topic accountability and Corruption, in Local Government in Nigeria.
