Abstract
The research work is aimed at finding out the assessment of financial management in public enterprises. In any organization whether profit or non-profit making the activities of financial management cannot be overlooked. It is as a result of the relative importance and contribution to the development and continuity of such an organization. The main reason for this research work is to bring to light the source and application of funds of Companion Fm. The method of data collection used was personal interviews. It was discovered that Companion Fm generate its funds from the federal government, state government and commercial sales and spends in through capital and recurrent expenses. Recommendations were made as: A new transmitter should be placed that will help the station in serving the public and meet its annual targeted revenue generation capacity. In addition, staff should be brought so as to assist staff in their movement to and station.
