Abstract

Assessment of comfort FM radio programme (Knowing Me, Knowing You On Couples Relationship) – a study of Eket local government area. This study is focused on“Assessment of Comfort Fm Radio Programme“knowing me knowing you on couples relationship” in Eket Local Government Area. The objectives of the study was to ascertain whether the residents of Eket Local Government Area do listen to Comfort FM Radio programme“knowing me knowing you”. To assess the perception of listeners of Comfort FM programme knowing me knowing you in Eket Local Government Area, to ascertain whether the programme“knowing me knowing you” has increased effective communication in Eket Local Government Area, to access if the programme“knowing me knowing you” has an influence on the listeners. Survey method was adopted for the study. Sample was drawn from the cluster random sampling technique were 380 questionnaires were distributed to respondents. The theoretical framework used for the study was interpersonal attraction theory and uncertainty reduction theory. The method for gathering data was the questionnaire. Finding from the objective of the study show that residents of Eket Local Government Area listen to Comfort Fm Radio programme“knowing me knowing you”. It was concluded that residents of Eket Local Government Area should help to build, sustain and increase effective communication. Comfrot FM radio programme“knowing me knowing you” has played an important role in shaping couples’ lives positively. Recommendation was that the producer of the programme should create some programme days and invite marriage councilors to counsel the couples so that it will add value and make the programme more interesting rather than the questions and answers and confirmation segments.
